A MAN has been taken to the Victoria Hospital after the fireball that closed the A92 at Lochgelly.
THE road was closed in both directions after two lorries crashed and burst into flames around 9.35am
Fire crews tackled the blaze and it was fully extinguished by 11.30am.
The eastbound carriageway has re-opened but westbound is still closed.
It had initially been reported that no-one was hurt but a statement from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "A male casualty was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel and taken to Victoria Hospital for further checks."
The accident happened just before the turn off to the B9149, with black smoke from the blaze visible from miles away.
Diversions were in place and police advised motorists to avoid the area.
