FIRE crews had to cut the roof off a car to free a driver after an accident on the M90 yesterday (Monday).
The collision involved a white Seat Leon and green Peugeot 307 and occurred around 7.25pm between Halbeath and Kelty, Police Scotland confirmed.
Two fire engines from Lochgelly raced to the scene and stabilised the Seat with blocks while they cut the roof off.
The male driver was then freed and taken to the Victoria Hospital.
The southbound carriageway was shut to traffic, causing major delays, but reopened around 8.45pm.
