A VEHICLE fire led to the closure of a slip road coming off the M90 near Dunfermline on Tuesday morning.
Firefighters raced to the junction two of the motorway at the A823 near Pitreavie/Rosyth after the incident just after 9.30am.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.41am on Tuesday, December 5, to reports of a vehicle on fire on the M90 northbound, Dunfermline.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene where firefighters extinguished the fire affecting a van.
“There were no reported casualties, and the crews worked to make the area safe.”
Traffic Scotland had confirmed that the exit slip road at junction two had closed due to the incident.
Posting on Twitter/X, they stated: "The M90 Southbound Exit Slip at J2 onto the A823 is currently CLOSED due to a vehicle fire.
"Police and Fire Services are in attendance. #takecare."
