FINISHING touches are being made to the new Tesco store in Dunfermline as the team prepare to open with community celebrations.
The shelves have now filled up before the doors open to customers at 8am tomorrow (Thursday).
Store manager Richard Moir was presented with keys to the store by Barr Construction project manager Colin Richard, signifying the end of construction work.
Celebrations will continue from 10am on Thursday with a ceremony as Fife Provost Jim Leishman joins Mr Moir and his colleagues to cut a ribbon declaring the store officially open.
The store team will also present senior Fife fire officer Iain Vincent and crew from Red Watch Dunfermline with a cheque for £1000 to The Fire Fighters Charity.
Lynburn Primary School, which won a recent ‘Why I Love Dunfermline’-themed poster competition organised by the store, will also be a part of the launch celebrations – accepting their prize of a £1000 donation and hessian bags featuring the winning poster.
