POLICE have been left puzzled by the theft of a pet rabbit and fishing equipment from a garden in Oakley.
The white dwarf breed was stolen between 4.45pm and 6.15pm on Monday from the property in Inzievar Terrace.
South West Fife area Detective Sergeant Drummond said, "The answer to this incident lies within the community and I would ask for their assistance in finding out who is responsible.
"The reasons for taking the rabbit are unclear, however this was a much loved family pet, described as a white five-year-old male, with one ear half-brown in colour. It has brown markings to rear of its neck with long floppy ears." "Please contact Fife Constabulary if you have any information on 0845 600 5702 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where they can leave information anonymously which will help us return the rabbit and equipment to its owner."
