PARS boss Allan Johnston has missed out on the League One manager of the season award - despite his side romping to the title.
Johnston, who won the monthly accolade in December and March, enjoyed a dream first season in charge at East End Park as he led Athletic back to the Championship after a three year absence.
Despite his team winning the title by 18 points and with five games to spare, Ayr United boss Ian McCall - whose team will join the Pars in the second tier after their play-off victory over Stranraer - was voted as the division's top boss by members of the Scottish media.
The Somerset Park men were beaten in three of their four league meetings with Dunfermline, who also ousted them out of the Scottish Cup in December.
Despite staying in close contention until Christmas, the Honest Men's title challenge slipped as Dunfermline motored to the title, clinching it with a 3-1 win over Brechin on March 26.
The Pars ended the campaign with 83 goals, 18 more than their rivals, and conceded just 30 goals, the league's best record.
McCall, who enjoyed two spells as a player with Dunfermline, guided his team to runners-up spot and they also clinched promotion after a penalty shoot-out win in the play-off final after powering past Peterhead in the semi-final.
