KELTY HEARTS have retained their Super League status after wrapping up a two-legged play-off victory over Dalkeith Thistle last night (Wednesday).
Leading 4-0 from the first leg at Central Park last Wednesday, Thomas Courts' side were heavy favourites going into the return and Stuart Cargill's 21st minute goal made the tie safe and ensured victory on the night.
Courts had warned his players against complacency in the build-up but they produced a professional display, comfortably dealing with early pressure from the home side before they struck the night's opening goal.
The game was up for the Premier League side and it was the visitors who looked more likely to add to their tally, but there were no more goals and Kelty can look forward to tackling the best of the East Region again next season.
