THE FIFE COUNCIL (ABBOT STREET/MAYGATE/KIRKGATE/BRIDGE STREET, DUNFERMLINE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2016
Fife Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – (i) prohibiting the use by vehicular traffic of Abbot St, Maygate, Kirkgate and Bridge St (from High St to No 3); and (ii) temporarily revoke the one-way traffic systems on High St (from Guildhall St to Bridge St), Abbot St, Maygate, Kirkgate, Bridge St and Bruce St The Order is to allow carriageway repair works to be carried out in safety and will be operational from 23/05/16 to 15/07/16 or until earlier completion of the works. The alternative route for through traffic will be via Canmore St, New Row, East Port, Carnegie Dr, Glen Bridge and Chalmers St. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
