Scarborough Muir Group (SMG) are holding a Community Planning Weekend for the local community to help create a vision for a sustainable new development on the Rosyth Waterfront site and improve its connection and relationship with
the town.
The Community Planning Weekend, to be held at Rosyth Parish Church over Friday 24 June (between 13:45 and 17:00) and Saturday 25 June (between 11:00 and 16:00), will be an opportunity for the local community to share
their local knowledge and contribute to the planning and design of the new
development through workshops and hands-on planning groups. There will also be an exhibition explaining the background to the site. Local people are invited on a drop-in basis (no pre-registration required) for as long as they
are able to stay.
REPORT BACK PRESENTATION Wednesday 29th June 2016, 6.30pm-8.00pm at Rosyth Parish Church
Following the Community Planning Weekend all local input will be analysed
and a Vision for the Waterfront site and its relationship with Rosyth will be
drawn up. This will be presented to the local community at a report back
presentation starting at 18:30 on Wednesday 29 June also at Rosyth Parish
Church. Following this, SMG and their design team will prepare a planning application for the site, which it is anticipated will be submitted to Fife Council
early next year.
