One North Queensferry Primary School pupil kicked his way to the top after competing in the Scottish Taekwondo Championships.
Connor Dowie (9), was awarded the best high kick against 500 competitors and also received medals for his patterns and sparing.
The youngster is a pupil at Intrepid Taekwondo, in Inverkeithing, and has worked his way up to yellow belt after joining with his brother Aidan Dowie (11), four years ago.
His mum Emma Marley (35), said she came across the sport when she was trying to find something that would teach her sons discipline and values and was delighted to find the club.
Now Connor has a “wee collection” of prizes and shows no sign of stopping as he takes part in competitions at least three times a year.
Miss Marley told the Press, “He was over the moon and I was very proud – it’s nice to see him building the confidence and seeing him happy.”
