A STRETCH of the A921 was closed last night (Wednesday) as emergency services tackled a car fire.
The incident took place at around 9.30pm between Dalgety Bay and Inverkeithing with one fire engine called out to tackle the blaze.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Press the cause of the fire was unknown.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue service spokeswoman said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 9.32pm on Wednesday, March 21 to a car on fire on the bypass between Dalgety Bay and Inverkeithing.
“Operations Control mobilised one fire engine to the incident and firefighters extinguished the fire."
Crews left the scene at 9.51pm.
