A DUNFERMLINE DJ is set to take part in a global livestream for charity this evening.
Tim Thomson has been an international trance DJ/producer for many years and has performed globally under the name Sonar Zone.
He will be streaming live on Mixcloud - click here - from 9pm tonight (Friday, May 8) as part of a mass effort to raise money.
He will be one of thousands of DJs across the world playing a live set this weekend in what will be the world's largest ever simultaneous live stream DJ event.
It is being held in aid of the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (LNADJ) foundation's COVID-19 emergency appeal.
Tim, who also works at Vine Conference Centre, said: "It's something I wanted to be a part of as soon as I heard about it.
"Every cloud has a silver lining and I hope this event will be able to raise money for great projects around the world.
"It's amazing for the DJ community and is without a doubt the next best thing to going out.
"We can do what we love online and to a larger audience now.
"It's going to be a great night and it'll lift people's spirits as well."
All money raised will go to those suffering from the impact of coronavirus in Africa and other developing countries.
The 72-hour extravaganza is being backed by music industry heavyweights such as Mixcloud and Nightmares On Wax.
The dance music marathon will see DJs simultaneously get in the mix and stream live from 12am this morning until midnight on Sunday.
