PARENTS have been left outraged after several spates of vandalism at Bellyeoman Primary School.
The school has been targeted over the past couple of weeks.
Police are appealing for information after windows were damaged.
Bellyeoman headteacher Kelly Butchart said on social media: "I am so sad to report that our school building has been targeted over the last couple of weeks with mindless acts of vandalism.
"To us, this isn’t just a building, it’s our Bellyeoman family’s home and we want to return to our building in good condition when lockdown is over.
"I’d like to thank janitorial and Bellyeoman staff for checking our building regularly and reporting these to police.
"Can I please ask all members of our school community to support us by being alert to anyone loitering or causing damage to our school.
"Thank you and stay safe."
Appalled by the news, Arlene Haddow wrote in response: "Absolutely disgusting behaviour! Should be ashamed of themselves."
Ashley Harper added: "Disgusting and shocking! Hope they get caught sooner rather than later."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are carrying out enquiries after windows were smashed at Belleyoman School recently.
"Officers are giving the area passing attention but anyone who knows who is responsible is asked to call Police Scotland on 101."
