IT'S the end of an era in West Fife as demolition work started at the Halfway House Hotel in Kingseat.
West Fife-based Mid Scotland and Fife MSP Alex Rowley said: "Many will have lots of memories of weddings, funerals, dances and nights out in the days when we did that!"
The hotel shut abruptly in January 2015.
The site is being developed for Fife Council by Lochgelly-based affordable housing company Richard Street Ltd and will provide 18 new-build houses. There is no provision for a pharmacy as previously stated.
