A 21-YEAR-OLD man caused a disturbance at the home of his former partner.

Then, after leaving, he headbutted a door and climbed onto the roof of an adjacent shop where he continued to shout to his ex-girlfriend.

Callum Nicholson, 21, of North Street, Lochgelly, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on January 17, at Mercer Place, Dunfermline, he refused to leave when asked to do so by his former partner, shouted at her repeatedly, struck a door repeatedly, struck his head repeatedly on a door, damaging it, climbed onto a rooftop, struck a window repeatedly, acted aggressively, shouted, swore, and made offensive comments towards police officers.

Depute fiscal Laura McManus said Nicholson had turned up at the woman’s home under the influence of alcohol.

She was concerned about his level of intoxication and the noise he was making. He was asked to leave and eventually did so.

However, outside in a close, he began shouting and banging his head against a door. He then climbed up onto the roof of a neighbouring shop and once up there came over to the woman’s window and was banging on it.

The police were contacted and when officers arrived at 10.45pm, they found Nicholson “very agitated” on the roof. He was acting aggressively towards officers, shouting: “F*** off you c****.”

He was allowed eventually into the woman’s flat via a window and was arrested.

The court was told Nicholson was already on a community payback imposed recently.

Sheriff James Macdonald deferred sentenced until May 26, when progress on his current order will be reviewed.
