A FIFE man has been charged with indecently communicating with a child following an incident in Tullibody last weekend.
Reports had been made over a man acting "suspiciously" towards a child in the Westview Crescent area on Saturday afternoon.
Officers attended and subsequently arrested the suspect, George Collins, of Dunfermline, who appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday.
The 64-year-old is facing a charge of indecent communication with an older child under the Sexual Offences Scotland Act, along with a further breach of the peace charge.
He appeared before a sheriff in private on Tuesday where the matter was committed for further examination and Collins was released on bail.
He will appear in court again in the near future.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman told to the Advertiser: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 64-year-old man has been arrested and charged after concerns were raised about suspicious behaviour in the Westview Crescent area of Tullibody.
“The incident took place around 1.15pm on Saturday, April 3.
“Further enquiries into the matter are ongoing and officers would like to thank the local community for their assistance.”
