BREAKING news could be happening in Dunfermline as a pizzeria could replace a newsagents.
Usman Ali Sultan has applied to change the use of his retail unit on Hospital Hill to a hot food takeaway.
He has lodged plans with Fife Council that would see the business sell wood-fired pizza to customers from Monday to Sunday.
In his application form, he said: "We propose to change the use of my premises at 18 Hospital Hill from a newsagents to a hot food takeaway, specifically a wood-fire pizzeria, takeaway only.
"Hours of operation would be 12:00 (noon) to 22:00 (10pm), seven days a week."
Mr Sultan added: "We plan to have all waste and recycling uplifted daily by a private waste contractor."
Should the change of use be proved, the pizzeria would join a range of food takeaways and businesses on Hospital Hill.
