A freak cold spell will bring snow to West Fife in May, forecasters are warning.
According to the Met Office, temperatures will drop to freezing overnight and there's an 80 percent chance of snow in Dunfermline early tomorrow morning (Thursday).
It's predicted that snow showers will turn into light rain by late morning, while there will be a mix of sunshine and rain for the rest of the afternoon as temperatures creep back up to 7°C.

Well, you'll certainly need those extra layers during the coming nights with #frosts once again in the forecast
It will be #cold enough for damaging frosts in some central and northern areas 🥶 📉 pic.twitter.com/9wAkXWxsvE
It comes Scotland recorded the coldest May Bank Holiday on record this week when a temperature of -5.9°C was recorded in Kinbrace.
By Friday, temperatures will have picked up but there is still cloud and rain forecast over the weekend in Dunfermline and in to next weekend.
Unusually #cold air for early May is currently spreading south across the country 📉
