ONE of the best haunts in Dunfermline has had a stunning makeover.
The Creepy Wee Pub is a local favourite as the Kirkgate bar is packed with a unique charm and character unlike any other in the area.
Regulars should not be scared by news of a facelift for the pub though as all its key features and quirks have been retained, whilst other paintings have been added by artist Craig Reid.
However, one big change is the conversion of a storage space into a new sports and music lounge with a large flat-screen TV and tables.
The pub now has four TV's and it has added Sky Sports to its offering.
The Creepy Wee Pub's manager told the Press that it has been hard work since taking on the business in January, but it has all been worth it for the final outcome and the customer feedback which, they say, has been overwhelmingly positive since re-opening on Monday.
"People have absolutely loved it," they said.
"The customers that were in on Monday have been back every day since - so I must be doing something right!
"I've worked in local pubs in the past, but this is the first one of my own.
"I've made some really big changes to the place, but it is still the Creepy Wee Pub that people know.
"The back room has been refurbished with new walls, lights and fittings. It's brand new.
"A lot of people have said that it still has that creepy, dungeon vibe while being modern at the same time.
"People were worried it wasn't going to be the same as before, but the regulars at the pub have loved it and said they'll be back.
"It's been mobbed. I've got six bar staff right now, but I think we're going to need more as it's been so busy.
"I've got a massive variety of rums, whisky, vodkas and gins.
"On tap, I have Staropramen, Peroni, Carling, Coors Light, Carling Fruits, Aspall, Guinness, Tennents and Grolsch. It's a great selection."
They also praised the help from local pubs such as Tappie Toories, Coady's and the owners of the premises in the opening process.
"I've had a lot of support which has been really helpful," they said.
"It's been all positive since opening up again and it's been brilliant after all the hard work in getting the place up and running."
