A DOG is believed to have been killed after it was struck by a vehicle on the M90 this morning.
Officers were initially called following reports that a dog was running around the M90 near the Kelty slip-road before the dog was unfortunately hit by a vehicle.
Police told the times it is believed the animal sadly died at the scene, and that enquiries are continuing after it was understood the vehicle that hit the dog failed to stop.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 6.50am to reports of a dog on the M90 between junction 4 and junction 5.
“The dog was later hit by a vehicle and is believed to have died at the scene, enquiries are continuing.”
