A free exhibition showcasing the work of the Cone 8 Potters Club's creations will take place next week.
Members of the club are delighted to have returned to making pots and have ‘thrown’ themselves into creating work for their upcoming exhibition – ‘All Fired Up for Summer’.
It will take place from August 7 to 15 in the special surroundings of the Upstairs Exhibition Room at Bessie’s, by Culross Palace, in the heart of the historic village.
The exhibition is free to enter and is open every day from 11 am to 4.30 pm.
It will feature a wide range of different styles of pottery made by nine of the current members.
Marion Anness, chair of the club, has invited lcoals to visit and meet the makers, with the chance to purchase something completely original for your home or as a gift.
She said: “The majority of our work is made in beautiful and practical stoneware clay and glazes.
“But our members also get together to use some unusual firing techniques - such as Raku, a Japanese technique which often incorporates the burning of organic materials, like horse hair or feathers, to decorate the ceramic surface to stunning effect."
Please note that the club are only able to take cash or cheques for payment.
