A NEW Co-op store is set to open in Aberdour later this year.
The retailer has confirmed that the new shop – which will see the creation of 12 jobs – is due to open its doors on November 26.
This week, a planning application was lodged with Fife Council seeking permission for various signage to be installed at the High Street premises.
Back in 2019, permission was granted for the erection of the building with associated parking as well as the demolition of the existing car garage and former cottages that sat on the application site.
The 2,368 square feet store will run on 100 per cent renewable energy and shoppers will be able to stock up on their everyday essentials with a wide range of fresh produce, ready meals and pizzas, food-to-go, wines and Fairtrade products available.
Hot and cold food, as well as baked goods, will also be on offer while the shop will also have an Amazon locker facility.
Ryan Scullion, Co-op area manager, said they were committed to connecting communities and making a difference locally.
He added: "We have worked hard to develop a store with range, choice, products and services that create a really compelling offer and help us meet the needs of customers and members in Aberdour and we look forward to serving the community from November.”
