AN ISSUE affecting Sky Broadband customers in Dunfermline and West Fife has been resolved.
A large number of homes were left without internet connection for hours this afternoon.
Sky said that it was was looking to address the problem that had been occurring in the East and Central Scotland area.
A Twitter Post from the Sky Help team had said: "We are investigating an issue with Sky Broadband and Talk affecting some customers in East and Central Scotland.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing."

The Sky Help Team has since updated customers in the past few minutes, stating that the issue has been resolved.
A Tweet said: "RESOLVED: East and Central Scotland.
"There was an outage impacting Sky Broadband and Talk customers in East and Central Scotland this afternoon. The issue has now been resolved & we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."

A Sky spokesperson confirmed: "The majority of Sky customers impacted by the issues with Broadband and Talk in East and Central Scotland should now have their service restored.
"We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused."
