DUNFERMLINE'S beautiful peacocks flocked to a local pub for a Sunday night drinking session.
Five of the town's treasured birds swapped the lush grass of The Glen for the cool pints of The Glen Tavern as they queued outside the Pittencrieff Street drinking spot.
One of the Tavern's staff members, Gavin McQueen, had just returned from a delivery when he was greeted by the sight of the peacocks waiting outside - with another spotted on its way up the road.
Gavin's photo of the town's famous feathered friends - who enjoy 'Freedom of the City' - proved a social media storm as Sarah Johnston, licensee, told the Press that the Facebook post of the gorgeous visitors had reached 35,000 people after it was published.
She said: "I absolutely loved the photo. I was away for the weekend and I burst out laughing when I saw the picture of them all.
"I was showing everyone. It's just so perfect. I love the peacock down the street as well just waiting to join in!
"We're definitely going to have to get that picture that framed now.
"We usually see them in the back garden here, but Gavin's photo is amazing. He's taking all the credit - claiming he organised the whole thing!
"They were trying to get in just as a customer was leaving, so they came close to getting in."
