A ‘GROUND-BREAKING’ act from Fife are heading to Dunfermline for a Christmas shindig.
David Hershaw and Sandie Forbes will perform at Fire Station Creative on Sunday, December 12.
The duo combine elements of the Scottish folk music tradition with modern songwriting, infusing familiar melodies with fresh arrangements. David is an established singer-songwriter and has developed a unique and versatile finger-picking style of guitar. Sandie is a classically-trained violinist who branched out into traditional music as a teenager.
The pair will perform tracks from their latest album, ‘Setting Forth’, which was released in December last year. They will be supported on the night by special guests including Lawrie Macmillan (Stiltskin, Ray Wilson) Erik and Jenn Knussen, Ross Fairbairn (Paper Sparrows, Les Bof) and Wullie Hershaw (The Bowhill Players).
"We're delighted to be back playing for the first time in two years at the Fire Station Creative, a great venue and arts hub in Dunfermline," said David. "It should be a real celebration, our first gig since the album Setting Forth was released, with lots of talented musicians and friends on hand to support us. We might even play a Christmas song or two!”
Tickets are £10 and can be purchased on Eventbrite and from the venue cafe/bar. Doors will open at 7pm and the gig will start at 7.30pm.
