HALBEATH Road in Dunfermline was closed earlier this morning after a HGV got jammed under the rail bridge close to the Elizabethan pub.
The incident happened shortly after 10am in misty conditions as the lorry was heading along Halbeath Road towards Dunfermline.
Large queues built up as traffic had to inch round the stricken vehicle.
Police arrived on the scene around 10.30am and closed the road and train services were also disrupted due to the accident involving the bridge.

On Wednesday, an Inverkeithing road was closed for more than seven hours after a lorry crammed with potatoes struck a rial bridge on Hope Street, between Inverkeithing and North Queensferry.
A multi-agency operation involving police, fire services, Fife Council, Network Rail and a recovery company took around seven hours to remove the vehicle so the road could be re-opened just after 11pm.
