DUNFERMLINE goalkeeper Owain Fôn Williams is leaving the club, it has been announced this evening.
The Welsh international, who has also been working as the club's keeper coach, has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
Athletic have said that the 34-year-old wishes to depart for family reasons.

In a short statement, they said: "Dunfermline Athletic wish to announce that we have agreed to cancel Owain Fon Williams contract, with effect from today.
"Owain wishes to leave for family reasons which we fully respect.
"The best wishes of everyone at DAFC go to Owain and his family, and we also wish them every success in the future."
Fôn Williams initially joined Dunfermline on loan in January 2020, making his debut in a 3-2 win at Queen of the South on February 1.
He went on to play a further five games that season, keeping two clean sheets, before the campaign was halted early due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
In the summer, Fôn Williams returned to East End from Hamilton Academical, this time permanently, signing a two-year contract as a player/coach.
Last term, he played 33 times as the Pars finished fourth in the Championship, where they contested the Premiership play-off quarter-final, only to lose to rivals Raith Rovers.
After Peter Grant replaced Stevie Crawford, who resigned from his post, in the summer, Fôn Williams played in two of Dunfermline's Premier Sports Cup group matches.
Grant, however, started with summer signing Deniz Mehmet in goal for the start of the league campaign, but Fôn Williams was recalled for a 3-1 defeat at Ayr United in mid-September.
He played 20 more games for Dunfermline - the last of which, ironically, came where he made his debut, at Queen of the South, in a 2-0 win on January 29 - before current manager, John Hughes, installed Leicester City loanee, Jakub Stolarczyk, as his number one.
In total, Fôn Williams made 62 appearances for the Pars, and during lockdown in 2020, he raised £3,000 for the club with a piece of artwork he painted and had auctioned off to help the 'Support the Pars' fundraising campaign.

After beginning his career at Crewe Alexandra, Fôn Williams has played for clubs including Stockport County, Bury, Rochdale, Tranmere Rovers, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Hamilton, and was capped for his country in a 2-2 friendly draw with the Netherlands in 2015.
A year later, he was part of the Welsh squad that competed at Euro 2016, where they reached the semi-finals.
