THE road between Torryburn and Newmills will be closed overnight to allow rail bridge inspection works to be carried out safely.
Main Street (the B9037), from the junction of Bayview to the junction of Tinian Crescent, will shut from 10pm on Tuesday July 12 to 6am the following day.
Access for emergency service vehicles and residents will be maintained.
The alternative route for through traffic is via the B9037 and A985.
Coneworx, a supplier of temporary traffic management services that is based outside Motherwell, will carry out the inspection on behalf of Network Rail.
Pedestrian access will also be maintained.
