PLANS for an affordable housing development have been given the go-ahead.
The proposals, for the former council depot on Leys Park Road, attracted seven objections and concerns were also raised by several committee members over a shortage of parking spaces at the site.
The committee voted to approve the plans despite motion to delay a decision until housing services had been consulted on the required parking levels for the extra care housing element of the development.
A total of 15 three-storey townhouses and 30 extra care flats are now set to be build with associated access, landscaping and infrastructure.
