A WEST FIFE charity has issued an appeal for clothes to help replenish its depleted stock.

The Children's Clothing Bank Dunfermline posted on Facebook that it is in "urgent" need of clothes of certain sizes.

"We’ve had a very busy spell and our stock is severely depleted in certain ages," it stated.

Girls' clothing of all types for ages three to four, four to five, eight to nine and 10-11 are needed as well as winter coats for girls 10-11 and boys over 14.

The charity posted on its Facebook page recently that in the past three months, from August to October,, they’ve provided 178 clothing parcels (85 girls and 93 boys) to 98 families in the Dunfermline area – a rise from last year when they gave out an average of 101 clothing parcels to an average of 54 families per three-month period.

Anyone who can help is asked to drop in donations during the opening times of the charity's Chalmers Street base. For more details, visit the Children's Clothing Bank Dunfermline Facebook page.
