A COFFEE morning held by a Dunfermline law firm has raised more than £300 for refugees across Scotland.
Staff at Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM)’s city office also collected hundreds of donations for the charity Refuweegee.
Alison Marshall, partner at WJM, said: "We’re delighted our fundraising efforts have been such a success, raising funds to help those who are most in need throughout the festive season.
"Refuweegee was selected as our charity of choice this year as we feel it’s an incredibly important cause.
"We hope our contribution will go some way towards helping people in need at what can be a difficult time of year."
Refuweegee was launched in 2015 by Selina Hales with a goal of making newcomers to Glasgow feel welcome after being displaced from their home countries through welcome packs including handwritten greeting letters from local residents.
The charity now supports refugees across Scotland, having provided more than 10,000 community-built, personal welcome and emergency support packs to those in need.
