ICONIC Dunfermline band The Skids are to make history by becoming the first band to play at Dunfermline Abbey.
The intimate gig will celebrate the launch of their new studio album and will provide a chance to buy a special limited edition copy created solely for the event.
Set for release in March this year, Destination Dusseldorf is described on the band's website as "one of our finest recordings" and includes collaborations with Youth, Hugh Cornwall and Martin Metcalfe.
The page reads: "Creativity born from friendship and respect lies at the heart of this new album which we think will be one of our finest recordings.
"People change but the heart and the energy that drives the band remains stronger than ever before as we look forward to a new chapter in the band's ongoing history."
There will also be a special pre-show party at PJ Molloy's on Canmore Street from 5pm.
The gig at the Abbey has been announced for June 30 and tickets are on sale now via TicketWeb.
