THE benefits of investing in Dunfermline are being showcased in London this week.
Fife Council leader David Ross is attending the Scottish Cities Alliance event in the UK capital which promotes the potential of each area to a range of national and international investors and developers.
Innovation opportunities for Scotland's newest city put forward were The Arrol Gibb Innovation Campus (AGIC), a global manufacturing centre located around Babcock's Rosyth site.
Cllr Ross said: "The Scottish Cities Alliance event in London is enabling Fife Council to more widely showcase our investment opportunities to attract greater investment, create growth and compete internationally.
"The council is promoting and maximising the economic opportunities around Dunfermline’s unique approach to using heritage and culture as well as investment in infrastructure and transport to attract new employment and business opportunities. Our aim is to promote Fife as a region and build on the benefits of city status for the whole of the region.
"Attending investment events under the Alliance banner helps to build further on the strengths and opportunities for Dunfermline and the wider region."
The three-day programme, which is taking place today (Monday), as well as Tuesday and Wednesday this week, included sessions led by Alliance partners and stakeholders, focusing on a range of topics which would be key to transformational change in Scotland's eight cities.
Dunfermline joined the collaboration in May 2022 following its elevation to city status as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
