FREE bus travel for under 22s has been hailed as a "huge success" in Fife.
This week saw the first anniversary of the scheme, which has been taken up by 48,147 young people, or 68 per cent of those eligible in the Kingdom.
Mark Ruskell, Scottish Green MSP for Fife, said: “It is one of the ways that with Scottish Greens in government we are delivering for communities and for the planet.
“Not only has it helped households and families during a cost crisis, it is cutting carbon emissions and has opened the country to a whole generation of young people.
“Transport shouldn’t cost the earth, and this is one of the most important changes that our Parliament has made since devolution.
"This isn’t just about travel. It’s also about giving people confidence, enabling opportunity and doing everything we can to build a more sustainable and connected Scotland."
Anyone who is yet to sign up can do so by visiting Freebus.scot.
