THE ORIGINS of a saint are to be explored as a part of the celebrations of a historic Aberdour church.
As a part of the 900th anniversary events for St Fillan's Church on Hawkcraig Road, Dr Simon Taylor, of Glasgow University, will be exploring the origins of the named saint and his connections to the town.
Stories of his luminous arm, which helped him to read and write, and how his bones helped to win the Battle of Bannockburn will be told, and the Aberdour Medieval Singers, led by Ingried Boussaroque, will perform throughout the talk.
Both of these performances have been organised as a part of the Aberdour Cultural Association’s contribution to the 900th Anniversary celebrations.
Entry to these events are free and not ticketed though donations are welcome.
Simply head along on Wednesday, March 22, at 7.30pm and enjoy. The event is set to end at 9pm.
