People in Fife can now book a free bulky uplift for household waste and recycling, with the service beginning from Monday, April 3.
The uplift will be on households' first landfill collection date. All booking slots are available on a first come, first served basis.
Earlier this year, councillors approved plans to scrap the uplift charges for 'bulky uplifts' that are too big for the bin, like couches, mattresses and fridges.
The change was made due to the cost-of-living crisis, and it is hoped the free service will help to reduce fly-tipping.
The free bulky uplift service is for people who cannot transport their items to a recycling centre.
Visit the council's website for more information and to book an uplift.
If someone has no access to the online service, a free uplift can be booked by calling the Council's Environment Line 03451 550022. Alternatively, a booking can be made at a local office.
