A DRIVER has been fined after a speed crack down in a West Fife village.
Police carried out speed checks in Gowkhall after safety concerns were raised by local residents.
One driver was clocked going 55mph in a 40mph zone and received a fine and points on their licence.
Posting on Police Scotland South West Fife's Twitter page, officers stated: "After speeding complaints from Gowkhall residents #FifeRP have been carrying out speed checks.
"This driver was stopped at 55mph in a 40 limit this morning, points and a fine issued please slow down. Think of your safety and that of others on the road. #Dontriskit."
