Fife is the only place in Scotland to have appointed a Pilgrim Pastor.
This unusual and exciting news was part of a talk to the Dunfermline Soroptimist club by Sarah-Jane Latto, of the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust.
The trust works with communities across Fife to create a healthier environment and to encourage people to enjoy the natural world.
This involves a huge remit from the Lomond Hills, beaches, parks to the Fife Pilgrim Way.
One unexpected bonus for the club came from one of the members, Lorraine Fraser.
She told the speaker that as Moderator of the Presbytery of Fife, she had assisted in commissioning the Pilgrim Pastor, Duncan Weaver.
His remit will be to assist the pilgrims on their long journey from Culross to St.Andrews.
