TRADITIONAL gala fun will kick off in Cairneyhill this weekend to cap an eventful gala week.
Events have been taking place throughout the week including Ye Olde Feast, a pet show, treasure hunt and football festival, with celebrations culminating on Saturday with the main gala day.
The event will start with the parade setting off at midday and making its way to the King George V field where an array of activities will be taking place.
Gala chairperson April Walker said they were looking forward to the big day.
"It is a Medieval theme so we are expecting a lot of knights," she said. "The parade will start from Glen Moriston Drive and that will head to the gala fields with the local groups within the village like the cubs, beavers and football teams and the nursery kids as well.
"When the royal party arrive, they will open the gala day officially."

A piping display, an elite falconry show, as well as entertainment from a reenactment group will all be part of the fun while rides – including a ferris wheel – and stalls will also provide fun for all ages.
Participants can take part in traditional races and tug of war competitions while the final of this week's football festival will also be played.
