AROUND 45 jobs are set to be created in Dunfermline when the city's new TK Maxx store opens its door later this year.
Recruitment for the posts is set to begin next month and is just some of many employment opportunities currently available across the region.
Figures released this week revealed there are 8,085 in Fife claiming Universal Credit, a drop of five per cent compared to last month.
DWP Employer Adviser Fiona Wilson said there were opportunities for people looking for work in the area.
"We are extremely busy with recruitment in Fife, it is absolutely booming," she said. "We have got a lot of campaigns coming up especially with NHS Fife. We are going to be doing some work with them.
"TK Maxx is opening in Dunfermline which is bringing about 45 jobs and that will probably increase at Christmas time. They are opening in September and recruitment will be happening around about July.
"They are going to be looking at working with the Job Centre Plus for their recruitment and a lot of that will be from the Dunfermline Job Centre.
"We are trying to get customers progressed and looking for the vacancies that are available in Fife. There are opportunities in various different sectors, Amazon, the airport, Fife Council, retail and there are still a lot of hospitality jobs so it is a bit of everything."
