THE ODEON in Dunfermline have announced that their new premium IMAX screen has opened to the public today (Tuesday).
In this screen, guests will be able to kick back and enjoy the world's most innovative movie-going experience, showcasing the difference between seeing a film and living it through the combination of immersive 360 degree sound, through dozens of powerful speakers, and an ultra-high-resolution screen that stretches from floor to ceiling and wall to wall.
Cinemagoers can enjoy a crystal clear viewing experience from the comfort of one of 145 Luxe recliner seats the ultimate big screen luxury with triple the legroom of a standard seat per guest.
Area manager, Kim Thorne-Mann, said: "We are delighted to announce the launch of the new IMAX screen at ODEON Dunfermline today and urge guests to come and experience IMAX's uniquely heart-pounding audio and awe-inspiring images for themselves.
"With a strong and varied slate of movies with something for every taste, a trip to our brand new, state-of-the-art screen is the perfect way to celebrate Oscar-winning directors and iconic film characters on the big screen this summer."
The new screen comes along just in time for some fantastic cinema this summer with the much anticipated returns of directors Greta Gerwig and Christopher Nolan with Barbie and Oppenheimer this July.
Cinema fans of all genres will have something to enjoy on the new IMAX screen with a host of releases on the horizon.
From Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, The Flash and Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One for superhero and action fans, to family favourites Elemental and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, there's something for the whole family on offer.
Kim added: "I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank our colleagues and partners for their hard work in preparing this screen for launch – particularly our friends at IMAX and the ODEON Dunfermline team.
"We are excited to be extending our partnership with IMAX with this screen and look forward to our continued work alongside our partners to make movies better for our guests."
