A NEW Indian and Nepalese restaurant has opened its doors in Dunfermline.
Namaste, on Carnegie Drive, has taken over the old Cloud 9 premises, formerly Basil.
Ram Sigdel, who owned the restaurant previously and has 35 years worth of experience in the industry, has returned after a break away from hospitality.
He said: "We have got staff from Japan and Nepal.
"It is similar but different, there will be sit in and takeaway and we will be open for lunch and dinner.
"It is different in town, give us a try."
Basil closed last year and was sold on to new owners, who re-opened the site as Cloud 9 in September.
In 2022 the Basil team were named as one of the finalists for the Scottish Curry Awards in the Dining Experience of the Year category.
It was the second nomination for the eatery, which took home the Customer Service Award prize in 2021.
In 2019, they received the Special Recognition Award at the Scottish Curry Awards for outstanding food and service.
Namaste opened at 21 Carnegie Drive on Wednesday and serves lunch between 12pm and 2.30pm and dinner from 4pm until 10pm.
