Pink Floyd’s 'Another Brick in the Wall' came to mind when Dunfermline Soroptimists heard that Limekilns needed financial help to restore its harbour wall.
This wall has always been maintained by the local community, so now was the chance for the Dunfermline Soroptimist club to support the restoration work.
The club made a decent donation, always eager to help local causes.
Limekilns Heritage Trust, organiser of this project, explained that a path on the pier, formed of Caithness stones, will be created, and these stones will be engraved by the names and organisations of the contributors.
The name of the path will be the Beacon Way – and the name of the Soroptimist club, along with other contributors, is nice and prominent.
