DUNFERMLINE have announced their fourth summer signing ahead of this afternoon's pre-season friendly with Heart of Midlothian by confirming a deal for Michael O'Halloran.
The 32-year-old former St Johnstone star has agreed a two-year contract, and will play against the Jambos at KDM Group East End Park.
O'Halloran, who began his professional career with Bolton Wanderers, first moved to Perth in January 2014, where he was team-mate of current Pars assistant boss, Dave Mackay.
That year, they both started, with Mackay as captain, as Saints defeated Dundee United in the Scottish Cup final, lifting the club's first-ever major trophy.
O'Halloran joined Rangers in 2016 but, just over a year later, returned to McDiarmid Park on loan.
A short six month spell with Melbourne City in Australia followed before he returned to St Johnstone on a permanent basis once more in January 2019, playing a part in their famous Scottish Cup and League Cup double triumph in 2020/21.
In total, he made 219 appearances for the Perth outfit, but ended last season on loan at Cove Rangers, where he made nine appearances.
O'Halloran, who can play on either wing, in attacking midfield or as a forward, follows Kane Ritchie-Hosler, Sam Fisher and Ewan Otoo - who all had successful loan spells with the Pars last summer - in signing a permanent deal with James McPake's side this summer.
A new signing and straight into the starting eleven 🏁
