POLICE are appealing for help to trace a woman reported missing from Dunfermline.

Lauren Hamilton was reported missing from the Broomhead Drive area and her current whereabouts are unknown.

The 21-year-old is described as being female, of a medium to heavy build, 5ft 6 in height, and with long brown hair.

She has tattoos on her hands and neck and is likely to be wearing black leggings.

An earlier appeal made by Police Scotland said she was last seen in the Clackmannan area at around 7.20pm on Sunday, July 9.

It added that she is currently travelling in her red and black Ford Fiesta with registration J30 LVH and may be in the Perthshire area.

Inspector Hughes, from Stirling Police Station, said: "Lauren has been missing for a number of hours now, this is completely out of character for her and her family and friends are understandably worried.

"We have a number of police resources out looking for Lauren and I am now looking for the assistance from members of the public."
