A DUNFERMLINE charity shop is celebrating its tenth anniversary and raising a massive £1.3 million over the last decade.

The Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) store in Duloch opened its doors in August 2013 when local mum Gwen Westgarth cut the ribbon with her daughter Olivia, who is supported by Rachel House and the CHAS at Home service.

Families joined CHAS retail and community fundraising staff on Tuesday for the birthday celebrations.

Head of Community Fundraising and Retail, Laura Campbell said: “It’s hard to believe it was ten years ago since we cut the ribbon and officially opened our Duloch shop.

"We have been so lucky over the years to have incredible support from the local community who donate, shop and volunteer their time to raise vital funds for CHAS. We couldn’t do it without them and our wonderful staff team.

"Thank you all for your fantastic support. Happy birthday CHAS at Duloch – here’s to the next ten years!”
