A FAMILY fun day raised over £500 was raised for Dunfermline's peacocks at the weekend.
The event was held at the peacock enclosure on Saturday with activities for young and old.
Volunteer Carlyn Cane, from the Peacocks in Pittencrieff Park group, said the day was a great success – despite the rain!
"There was fun for all the family including tombola, cake and candy, pin the tail on the peacock," she said. "We also had rock painting to add to our ever growing rock snake which is placed beside our memorial garden, colouring in, guess the peacock’s birthday and a peacock themed quiz.
"As always are extremely grateful for the amazing support we receive from the people of Dunfermline, and we raised an amazing £512 which will go towards the daily upkeep of the birds.
"Thank you to everyone who came along and we hope everyone had fun!"
