THE Central and West Fife Agricultural Society have donated the proceeds of one of their West Fife Show events to charity.
The £1,000 that was raised during the charity afternoon tea in June has been donated to the Fife Carers Centre in Kirkcaldy.
Show chairman James Mill said: "Fife Carers Centre are worthy beneficiaries, helping numerous family carers throughout Fife and we are delighted to support them."
The charity afternoon tea was introduced as a one-time event at the West Fife Show in 2022, but due to it's popularity the committee decided to run it again this year.
It was sponsored by Cluny Activities, Chrystal Petroleum and Penman Plant Hire, and all proceeds received from ticket sales were donated to the carers centre.
Gaynor Caldwell, manager at the centre, said: "Here at the Fife Carers Centre we are dedicated to helping unpaid carers through their caring journey.
"Donations are extremely important for us to be able to continue to offer our supportive services, so we are extremely thankful to everyone involved in raising these funds for us."
