THE Regimental Band and Pipers of the Scots Guards are set to perform in the Dunfermline Abbey later this month.
A world-renowned band, they had a leading role in the funeral of Queen last year. They also took part in earlier Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Washington DC and Japan, travelled overseas to the Republic of Korea for the World Military Expo and took part in a parade through the streets of Seoul with the Korean Royal Guard.
This year, in addition to their duties in London, the band have taken part in the Coronation of King Charles, Trooping the Colour and a military music spectacular on Horse Guards Parade in London.
They will be supported by the pipers from the 1st Battalion Scots Guards, who will deploy on exercise to Oman very soon afterwards, at their Abbey concert on Saturday, September 23.
Tickets are available from Dunfermline Abbey or from Neil Crockett, Secretary of The Scots Guards Association, by calling 01383 721530 or emailing sga@scotsguards.org.
