THERE'S a change of gear for a vacant plot in Dunfermline with planning permission to use it for car sales.
Adrian Cierpikowski was already using a gap site at 160a Rumblingwell to display motors but didn't have the necessary consent from Fife Council.

His retrospective application to change the use of the site was approved despite an objection and concerns about road safety, loss of privacy, air pollution and the impact on neighbouring properties.
The business will operate from 9am to 6pm, seven days a week, by appointment only for individuals to come and view vehicles.

A statement on behalf of Mr Cierpikowski explained: "The client has confirmed that the business is only run by one member of staff and any appointments will have interval of a minimum of 15 minutes between each appointment.
"There will be only one car per appointment to view any cars for sale.
"There will be three car parking spaces on the site, one for staff and two for members of the public."
The plot is around 365 square metres in size, it's accessed via a gate and enclosed by a boundary fence.
Plans to build a two storey house on the site was refused in 2007.
A council report said: "The proposed development would see the reuse of a vacant parcel of land for a proposed use which would be considered acceptable and in keeping with surrounding land uses."
The council's transportation team said they had no objections, subject to the imposition of conditions regarding the provision of a vehicular turning area, visibility splays and customer/staff parking.
